Pablo Policzer

Pablo Policzer (Ph.D. MIT) is an Assistant Professor and holder of the Canada Research Chair in Latin American Politics at the University of Calgary, in Canada. He previously held an I.W. Killam Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, where he was a Research Associate at the Centre of International Relations. Focusing on Latin America, his research centers on how authoritarian regimes liberalize, and on mechanisms to regulate coercive organizations from militaries to rebel groups. His book manuscript, The Rise and Fall of Repression in Chile, is forthcoming from Notre Dame University Press.
